Eco-homes excellence
As part of an HMRI submission we used a flexible design solution for new-build and infill homes to achieve an Eco-homes excellent rating.
Design needed to provide for a fully-integrated solution, covering techniques/processes, sustainable supply chain, life cycle sustainability, and considerations of energy consumption and waste reduction.

This project was conceived to provide supported accommodation for family units. The design included a protected court, having a glazed ‘cloister’ to three sides, to enable family members to maintain continuing visual contact. Following much community engagement and needs appraisal, Paddock Johnson Partnership undertook a Design & Build Contact to create a development of ‘Lifetime Homes’, which included 6 Houses & 2 Apartments . The scheme was specifically designed to exceed the minimum lifetime home standards whilst achieving a CFSH rating of 4.
