CONSERVATION
Our long-term commitment to the effective refurbishment, reinstatement and re-use of historical buildings has been recognised over the years with several Civic Trust Awards and a Preservation Society award for works to refurbish the Listed pumping station at Shore Road, Birkenhead.
Such recognition rests on an informed and positive attitude towards the historical environment, whether working on modern insertions into an historical context, or the adaptation and refurbishment of Listed Buildings.
Our expertise is typified by our extensive work within the Port Sunlight Conservation Area, where we have been involved in both new build and refurbishment schemes for Listed Buildings such as the Heritage Centre, Hulme Hall and the Gladstone Theatre. We have also been responsible for managing the Port Sunlight Village Trust cyclical maintenance programme on 348 houses, for over 5 years.
Other schemes of note include: Thornton Manor, Thornton Hough; Corn Exchange, Liverpool; works to Listed Buildings fronting Birkenhead Park, and works to Hamilton Square, Birkenhead for which we received a Civic Trust Award.
