RESIDENTIAL > Alderley Edge
Visionary solutions at a complex site
Planning permission has been gained for a mixed use development, where imaginative design was required to overcome various physical obstacles inherent in the site. The project comprises a food retail store, additional retail units, a multi-storey car park and 44 two and three-bedroom apartments at the Parade Precinct, Alderley Edge.
The development is designed in two separate buildings, one addressing the village vernacular to London Road, the other presenting its main elevation towards the open space and park.
The main retail store is buried into the embankment created by London Road, thus hiding its blank façade & leaving exposed the glazed entrance to address the village centre. Further retail units are arranged on top of the main store via a colonnade and walkway.
The separate Apartment development reflects the quality and cachet of residential stock in the area.
